Spotted Sea Trout

The Spotted Sea Trout is a very underrated gamefish. In many ways they are a family fish, the first fish of many beginning fly fishers. They do not demand great expertise or technical know-how. They school up in good numbers and can be very accommodating. They hit hard and as they like cooler water temperatures are one of my favorite winter species. The larger bull trout are loners and are as fun to target as any inshore species.
